LIM KIT SIANG APOLOGIES TO PERAK REGENT

The reality speaks for itself. DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has ordered the party's assemblymen in Perak to attend the swearing-in of the Mentri Besar this evening even though party adviser Lim Kit Siang had earlier told them to stay away from it.

In Ipoh, Perak DAP chief Ngeh Koo Ham, who will be made Deputy Mentri Besar, said Thursday that all representatives from the DAP-PKR-PAS coalition will attend the swearing-in of the Mentri Besar at 4pm today.
DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang has apologised to the Regent of Perak Dr Raja Nazrin Shah for his statement on Wednesday over the appointment of Perak Pas secretary Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as Mentri Besar.

The following is Lim's full statement issued on Thursday:
No disrespect to Perak Sultan and Regent ever intended and apology for any offence caused as the statement was on party position at the time.
My three-paragraph statement at 7 pm last night that the DAP Central Executive Committee emergency meeting on 9th March had not given approval for a PAS Mentri Besar to head a Perak coalition state government was not made out of disrespect to the Perak Sultan and Regent both of whom whom I have always held in the highest regard and I apologise for any offence caused. The statement was on the party position at the time.

There have been further discussions and developments on the matter in the hours after the statement. Announcements of the latest position will be made.
